A MAN has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a father-of-four.
Allan Robertson, 26, is accused of killing 52-year-old John Smith, who was stabbed at his home in Stevenston, Ayrshire, on October 8. He died in hospital three days later.
Robertson is also accused of assault to severe injury after John McDade, 30, was wounded in the alleged incident at the town's Misk Knowes.
Robertson, of Glasgow, made no plea nor declaration at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody for further investigation.
