Glow star Lauren McDonald says her life is finally back on track after a horror nightclub attack three years ago.

The 29-year-old has revelead she finally received compensation last week for the incident in which she was glassed in the face at Glasgow's Sanctuary club.

The ex-WAG underwent numerous operations to repair facial scars.

Speaking to the Scottish Sun she said: "I lost all my confidence after what happened and was scared to go out on my own.

"My recovery, both physical and mental, prevented me getting modelling and promotional work.

She added: "I’ve turned a corner now and can draw a line under what happened. It was a horrible experience but it has made me a stronger person."

Police quizzed two female suspects over the incident but the case collapsed due to a lack of evidence.

Last week hairdresser Lauren made her debut on Glasgow reality series Glow which follows the lives of glamorous Glaswegians.

On the show's website she says: "I am the ultimate Miss Independent, starting my own business at the age of 18 – I have never looked back.

"Although I am extremely loyal I do not suffer fools gladly.

"My bossy nature can sometimes be taken the wrong way but I always speak my mind and am the biggest feminist you’ll ever meet. I believe that women should build each other up and not tear each other down.

"Love me or hate me, what you see is what you get so I urge you not to judge too fast – you never know, you might just like me!"

So far the show- which can only be viewed online- has been watched by over 131,000 people.

The series continues tonight at 7pm at www.glasglow.tv
