BUDDING radio DJ Jordan Whitefield ruled the airwaves when he got behind the mic at a Glasgow-based studio.
Jordan, 24, won the chance to spend a day in the life of a radio presenter at Global Radio’s new headquarters in West Regent Street as part of a competition with our sister website s1jobs.com. Jordan entered the competition in the summer and thanks to his short and succinct piece on why he deserved the experience, he was announced as the winner the following month.

Jordan, who is an independent filmmaker with a keen interest in TV and radio production, enjoyed his experience at Global Radio, operators of Heart and Smooth in Scotland.
He worked on his own radio advert, creating the ad from brief through to production and then even took to the mic live on air.

Producer, John McNally was suitably impressed by Jordan’s skills. He said: “ For someone who’s only just got in front of the mic, Jordan’s shown great potential - he even managed to nail the vocal with only a couple of attempts.”
