The suspect made off in a white van with a four figure sum of money.

The suspect was wearing a dark coloured balaclava or scarf across his face in an effort to conceal his identity.

He was also wearing hi-vis gloves, is around 6 ft. tall with a heavy, stocky build.

He was wearing a grey hooded top, high-vis jacket and white Nike trainers and was carrying a pink shoulder bag.

Officers are reviewing CCTV images for additional information and are carrying out door-to-door enquiries.

"Given the fact he was wearing hi-vis clothing, people may have thought he was a workman of some sort but in fact his intention was to rob the store.

"I’m appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident to contact us, perhaps you saw the man and the van and thought nothing of it but if you did see him, you might be able to provide us with vital information which could assist our enquiry. Please do contact us.”
