The Bonfire Night fireworks display at Glasgow green will this year feature effects which have never been seen in this country.

Around 50,000 people are expected to attend the colourful event on Saturday which will see two tonnes of fireworks explode in the night sky.

They will create 15,000 different effects with new colours being specially imported for the show.

The fireworks being used range from 30mm calibre single shots to 175mm shells that burst to over 150m in diameter.
