POLICE have launched an appeal to find a missing Greenock woman who was last seen at her home address by her two carers.

Margaret Fleming has been missing for a week from her home in Inverkip.

The 36-year-old was last seen at her home address by her two carers at 6.20pm on Friday, October 28.

She is described as around 5ft 5ins in height, with collar length black hair and brown eyes.

She is described as being of heavy build.

When last seen, she was wearing a green coloured tartan fleece or jumper, dark coloured jeans or trousers, and she was wearing 'Karrimor' type boots which were dark in colour.

She also had a satchel-type handbag. Margaret is believed to have learning difficulties.

Chief Inspector Elliot Brown, Area Commander for Greenock, said: "It's now been almost a week since Margaret was last seen, and given her vulnerabilities, we are very concerned.

"There is a real strength of feeling in the community of Inverkip about Margaret's disappearance, and we’ve had a few local people reach out to us to ask if they can help in some way.

"Whilst we are very appreciative of such offers and very pleased with the response we've received from the public, we have specialist search officers in and around the area where she went missing carrying our significant enquiries.

"Local people can help us by sharing our appeals to trace Margaret, please study her image and share with friends - have you seen her? Do you know her? Do you have anything you can pass to police which might be able to help with our enquiries? If so, please contact us immediately via 101."
