Elvis Presley's old home has been put up for sale for almost £25 million - twice as much as it was sold for just two years ago.

The King lived at 1174 Hillcrest Road in Beverly Hills, LA, from 1967 to 1973, sharing the plush pad with wife Priscilla and their daughter Lisa-Marie.

Set in a one-acre plot of land, the French Regency-style home has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The 5,400 sq/ft property has retained much of its the outward stone decor from when Elvis lived there as well as the swimming pool and front gates where he would meet adoring fans.

Elvis left the building shortly after divorcing Priscilla in 1973.

It was previously sold in 2014 for $15 million and is now on the market for $30 million (£25m). The King paid $400,000 for the home in the 1960s.

The home is in the Trousdale Estates neighbourhood of Beverly Hills which has been home of some of the celeb world's best-known faces.

Previous residents have included Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, President Richard Nixon and Stevie Wonder.

It has also been popular among British stars with Simon Cowell, Ringo Starr and Sir Michael Caine among those who have lived in neighbourhood.

Elvis's old house is on the market with The Agency whose listing describes the home as being "perched on a coveted promontory in a quiet cul-de-sac".
