COMMUTERS in the west of Scotland face rush hours delays this morning.
Train services between Barrhead and Glasgow Central, and Kilmarnock and Glasgow Central are under threat of cancellation due to engineering works not being finished on time.
Disruption was expected on that line until at least 8am, with plans for a replacement bus service facing challenges.

Meanwhile slippery rails on the Motherwell/Cumbernauld line means severe disruption to several services.

The 6.12am Cumbernauld to Dalmuir will be started from Coatbridge Central, and will no longer call at Cumbernauld and Greenfaulds.
The 7.39 Milngavie to Cumbernauld will be terminated at Coatbridge Central and will no longer call at Greenfaulds and Cumbernauld.
