MOTORISTS are facing long delays this morning, with congestion, roadworks and accidents causing transport misery.
Two lanes of the M8 west of St. James have been restricted eastbound indefinitely with queuing traffic.

The M74 junction six northbound onslip from Motherwell is closed for emergency roadworks, while roadworks at the M74 junction five Raith Interchange are causing 20 minute delays northbound.

Elsewhere the A75 at Dumfries is closed in both directions between the junction of the A701 and the A709 due to a road traffic accident.
