The stars of drama series Outlander are back on set filming some new scenes for season three of the hit show.

Scottish actor Richard Rankin, 33, and Sophie Skelton, 22, were both on set, returning to their rolls as Roger Wakefield and Brianna Randall.

The duo was seen sharing a few laughs in between shots in the West End of Glasgow on Thursday afternoon.

The filming location was lined with classic American cars, including a vintage New York City checker taxi and two Ford Mustangs.

Outlander tells the story of a World War II nurse who finds herself transported back to 18th century Scotland and becomes entangled in the Jacobite risings.

Series three of the time travelling tale is expected to premiere in the spring of 2017, and will begin with the historic Battle of Culloden.
