A DRUNK who claimed he took an ecstasy tablet kicked off at Queen Street station in Glasgow city centre after he was refused entry through the barrier because he did not have a ticket.
Daniel Gaitens, 24, appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing after accepting that he did behave in aggressive and abusive manner.
The Procurator Fiscal depute told the court that Gaitens approached staff at the barriers of Queen Street in a drunken state at around 9.10pm on Friday, January 29.

He was informed by staff working at Queen Street station that he could not get past the barriers without a ticket.
He, however, persisted in his attempts to get on through the barriers.
Cops then became involved and it was during his transport to Stewart Street Police Office that he kicked off.
When Gaitens arrived at Stewart Street, he told the custody sergeant that he had taken an ecstasy tablet.
He was therefore taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary as the police officers wanted to make sure he was fit to be in custody.
It was during these journeys that his behaviour became aggressive.
His charge sheet listed several offences that he committed which he pled guilty to.
Gaitens, of Great Western Road, Glasgow, accepted that he shouted and swore at officers.
He also claimed to officers that he was recording them and he failed to comply with their instructions.
Gaitens also attempted to spit at the police officers and he uttered offensive comments towards them including “f***ing poof”.
When he was at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be get checked out, he refused to give his details to staff which were needed for him to be assessed.

In addition, he repeatedly refused to provide details to police officers while he was in custody at Stewart Street Police Office.
The court heard from Gaitens defence agent that he was a first time offender.
The sentencing sheriff place on a Community Payback Order of supervision for 18 months.
