A WOMAN who was refused entry onto a bus ended up assaulting a member of staff at Buchanan Bus Station.

Angela Morrison, 51, was in the dock for sentencing at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to several charges.

She was refused entry to the commuter spot on April 15 for being under the influence of alcohol.

The court heard that Morrison was abusive staff who then asked her to calm down.

She then poked a member of staff in the chest and pulled his ear piece from his ear causing it to fall to the ground and break.

The court also heard that a homeless man intervened and asked her again to calm down.

She then picked items out a bin and began throwing them towards him.

Morrison, of Earl Street, was then tracked on CCTV and police caught up with her at Jamaica Street.

When police approached her she said: “You are arresting me for that. I did not even make contact.”

As she was placed in a cell van, she kicked out and ended up hitting a police officer in the stomach.

Morrison was placed under supervision for 18 months with a conduct requirement to engage with the 218 Project.

She was also ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work in the community.
