A MAN told cops they would regret arresting him and threatened he knew where police officers and their families stay, a court has heard.

Jordan Brisbane, 25, appeared in the dock for sentencing at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to behaving in a threatening manner.

He also assaulted two policemen by spitting at them.

Brisbane, of Woodland Crescent, Cambuslang, issued the threat after cops arrested him because he kicked off at a house party.

Police were called to the house party at around 1.45am on Saturday, September 3 in Cambuslang’s Welfare Avenue to deal with a noise complaint.

Brisbane demanded to know if cops had a “f**king warrant” and was arrested as his behaviour escalated.

En route to Cathcart Police Station in Aitkenhead Road, he made reference to his close friends saying they were police officers and he named them.

He made the threat and added: “Once these handcuffs are off I will bite your f**king face off.”

Sentencing Sheriff Brian Cameron warned Brisbane: “You are missing the jail by the skin of your teeth.”

He was tagged for 13 weeks as an alternative to custody and he was also placed under supervision for 15 months.

Brisbane was also ordered to return to court for a review.
