Glasgow chocolate lovers are in for a treat as a sweet emporium is set to open another shop in the city.

Hotel Chocolat will be opening a their new confectionary boutique on Buchanan Street in April.

The store will be offering a selection of exotic flavours of chocolate from the company's range including passion fruit margarita, champagne and mojito as well as caramel, mind and nut.

Other favourites include chocolate flavoured jam, marmalade, beer and pasta.

The Cocoa bar-cafe will be accessible through the store and will have tables outside in Princes Square serving hot chocolate, coffees, teas, cakes and brownies.

The store and café were secured on a 10 year lease at a rental of £320,000 per annum.

Hotel Chocolat, which has over seventy shops in the United Kingdom, was founded by Angus Thirwell and Peter Harris.

It launched its first retail store in Watford in 2003 and in 2006 acquired the Rabot Estate in Saint Lucia, West Indies, the only company in the UK to own its own cocoa plantation.
