A MAN who was slashed in the head ended up struggling violently with five police officers after they tried to help him.
Kieran Rooney, 21, appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court after he also accepted he lashed out with his arms and legs at the officers.
He was slashed on New Dyke Road, Kirkintilloch on December 9 and an ambulance was called.
Rooney, of Woodstock Avenue, was heavily intoxicated and he told the officers who arrived first to “get to f**k” when they tried to help him.
He became so aggressive that eventually he was restrained with fast straps
When he was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, he kicked off again which resulted in a doctor stopping his work with patients to address the disturbance.
He was placed under supervision for 12 months and given 120 hours of unpaid work.
