A MAN told his family he owed drugs dealers money and demanded cash from them by walking around their home with knives.

Stephen Elliot appeared from custody in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court to be sentenced for behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on June 16, 2016.

She refused to give him money when he asked her.

His mother then arrived with shopping and requested that her son helped her.

She also refused to give him money and he kicked off, throwing the shopping bags at his mother.

He took knives from the kitchen and began walking around the family home with them.

Elliot kept saying he needed the money to pay drug dealers.

He told his family: “They will come up, and chop you and your weans up.”

He also came to blows with his mum in the kitchen and raised his fists at her. She jumped back fearing she would be assaulted.

His sister gave him money, he left and police were called, He told cops he was sorry and added: “I was a wee bit drunk and stupid.”
