HEARTS have announced the signing of French midfielder Malaury Martin on a three and a half year deal.
The 28-year-old arrives in Edinburgh after leaving Norwegian club Lillestrom this month at the end of his contract.
Martin, a central midfielder who has previously had spells at the likes of Monaco, Blackpool and Middlesbrough, has previously captained his country at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 level.
He becomes Ian Cathro's third signing of the winter window after the arrivals of defenders Aaron Hughes and Lennard Sowah.
“The facilities here are amazing and the club has amazing potential," Martin told Hearts TV on his arrival.
"I’ve played in the UK in the past and I’ve known about Hearts and the Scottish League for a long time.
“It’s a great feeling to be here, I’ve enjoyed my first day and I’m now eager to meet the players and start my first training.
“I hope to have a lot of success with this club.”
The Frenchman joins the Jambos after contributing eight goals and six assists in 29 Norwegian top-flight appearances last season.
