POLICE have renewed their appeal for information about Stuart Clark, who went missing from Dalmuir one year ago today.

The then 59-year-old was last seen entering the common close of his building in Burns Street around 12.30pm on Sunday, January 17, 2016.

But when twin brother Iain arrived at the flat about 1pm, Stuart was gone.

Last week, Iain told the Post how he missed Stuart daily but particularly during a recent stint in hospital.

"His flat still has his belongings," explained Iain, of Benbow Road. "We have kept his precious belongings, photos, his clothes and his teddy bear. I have washed and ironed everything waiting on him.

"You don't get past missing him. Someone will say something or you're watching TV and it immediately comes back. The fact remains we don't know what happened to him - that's the hardest part."

Clydebank's community policing team remain keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Dalmuir Square, Burns Street, Swindon Street and Dumbarton Road, on Sunday, January 17, 2016 between 12.20pm and 1pm.

Inspector David Quinn said: “Stuart has now been missing for a year and this is clearly a very difficult time for his family and friends.

"The enquiry into Stuart’s whereabouts is still active and I ask anyone with any information which may help locate him to call Clydebank community policing team on 101.”

Stuart is described as white, around 6ft 2 inches tall, medium build, red hair and beard, Stuart also wears glasses and has a distinctive stilted walk. He is believed to be wearing a dark-coloured waterproof jacket and was carrying a black/grey rucksack.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101.
