SIX Glasgow law firms have teamed up with a leading charity to offer a free will writing service.
From February 1 to March 31 the firms, in conjunction with Marie Curie, will offer the service to those with terminal illnesses.
Franchi Law LLP, Scullion Law, Leslie Wolfson Solicitors, Levy & McRae Solicitors LLP, Harper Macleod LLP and Irwin Mitchell Solicitors have signed up to to the scheme.
Last year 114 people signed up to last years’ initiative which saw the majority of those leaving a gift for the charity.
Hazel Crombie from Marie Curie said: “It’s important to make your wishes known by making a will and this is a great opportunity to make the most of this free service for this limited time.
“If you choose to leave a gift in your will to Marie Curie you’re helping provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.”
Gifts in wills play a huge role within the charity - funding the equivalent of five out of the nine hospices Marie Curie run.
