EVENING Times columnist Michelle McManus was assaulted in Shawlands by a random attacker.
Michelle posted about her terrifying ordeal on social media today after suffering from an injured jaw.
The incident happened on Sunday, January 22 at 2am on Pollokshaws Road in Shawlands.
She wrote on Twitter: "When your life is amazing but then a man you don't know assaults you for no reason. #whatdoesntkillyou xxx"
In another post she adds: "Thankyou so much for all of your kind messages. Still trying to process what happened to me last night. The police were fantastic xxx"

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed that investigations are being carried out.
She said: “Michelle was assaulted at around 2am on Sunday, January 22.
“The incident happened on Pollokshaws Road in Shawlands.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
