A MAN who hid drugs inside two Lynx deodorant canisters was caught during a police probe.

Reheel Rehman, 25, from Glasgow, was seen leaving the Radisson Hotel, in Argyle Street, with seven bags of horse tranquilliser ketamine and ecstasy tablets which he put in the Lynx container and drove off in his Mercedes.

Police were informed of this and after making inquiries believed that an Audi parked in a nearby car park contained drugs and stood guard beside it.

Rehman drove into the car park, but when he saw the police there, drove right back out again. He was stopped nearby.

The Mercedes was searched and police found the ketamine and ecstasy in the deodorant canisters.

When Rehman was searched a key to the Audi was found on him. It was searched and bags of ketamine, ecstasy and cocaine were found, along with £1,030 in cash.

The High Court in Glasgow heard that the total street value of the drugs was £66,280.

Prosecutor Lynsey MacDonald said: “ The cocaine was 75 per cent pure and of importation quality. The average purity in the West of Scotland is 15 percent.

“If adulterated to fifteen per cent this cocaine could realise £49,320.”

Rehman admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine, ecstasy and ketamine on July 24, 2015, at Radisson Blu Hotel and Oswald Street, Glasgow.

Judge Lady Stacey remanded Rehman in custody and will sentence him on February 21 at the High Court in Edinburgh.
