Tributes have been paid to a teenage boy found dead in Polmont Young Offender Unit.

The body of Liam Kerr, 19, from Paisley, was found at the institute in Falkirk on Saturday. 

His death was the second in just over a week after the body of another teenager was found on January 13.

A probe has been launched, however police say there aren't any suspicious circumstances.

Tributes have flooded social media for the popular teenager. 

Margaret Lamond said: "Can't stop thinking about wee Liam, such a shame to think he was crying out for professional help and no one would listen such a shame he had to go like that! Defo be a boy all never forget every time a seen him he managed to make me laugh/put a smile on my face. Rest in peace."

Christopher Coutts "Still can't get my head round that'll we will never see you again fly high bro until we meet again."

Jodie Foy said: "So gutted to hear the news about Liam Kerr just shows a smile can hide a lot of things.. rest in peace."

Chelsea Baird said: "Heartbreaking news to hear about liam, was such a lovely boy with a heart of gold. Thinking of all his friends and family."

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm that we are investigating two deaths at the Polmont young offenders institution on January 13 and 21.

“There appear to be no suspicious circumstances.”
