Fears are growing for a missing West Lothian woman who has health problems. 

Police are appealing for information to help trace Elizabeth Smith or McLeish, who was last seen around 9.30pm on Friday, January 27 in Avondale Crescent, Armadale.

Since then the 37-year-old has not been in contact with friends or family who are growing concerned for her welfare.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information about Elizabeth’s whereabouts to please get in touch.

Elizabeth is described as around 5ft 6in tall with medium length brown hair and slim built.

She was wearing a black jacket.

Sergeant Garson Gillies of Whitburn police station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Elizabeth who is not in the best of health.

“It is also concerning that she has now been missing overnight in inclement weather.

“Anyone who has seen Elizabeth or a woman matching her description is asked to please get in touch by calling us on 101. Similarly if Elizabeth herself sees this appeal, we would ask her to contact her family or ourselves.”
