Temperatures will begin to fall late tomorrow night, hitting freezing point in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The mercury looks set to drop again on Thursday evening, eventually landing at -3C.

Friday will be a very cold start for commuters with temperatures struggling to get above -2C from 6am to 9am.

This morning, the Met Office had issued a yellow warning for ice and forecasted between two to five millimeters of snowfall across Central Scotland.
