SCHOOL kids proved their eye for fashion after being set the challenge to design clothes from recycled junk.
Pupils from Hillhead High School in Glasgow, Brannock High School Motherwell competed at the Junk Kouture Scotland 2017 finals which took place at the SEC Armadillo on Thursday.
The Hillhead duo Maisie Keery, Kerr Hutchsion and teacher Kirsty Webster came in second with their design which incorporated Highland cow hair and fabric from sample books, leaves, twigs and even pig trotters. The Glasgow team also won a trophy for their catwalk routine.
Brannock pupils were crowned junior designers of the year for their dress made with old fairytale books, CDs, newspapers and magazines.
Pupils from Cedars School of Excellence in Greenock also claimed the third spot. Schools from across the country took part with judges marking the work of 80 pupils.
