A MAN launched a tirade of sectarian abuse after becoming involved in an altercation.
Raymond Gunn, 54, appeared in the dock for sentencing at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to the offence.
Gunn, of Wyndford Road, Glasgow, had a co-accused who was dealt with on another occasion.
The court heard that Gunn became aware of an argument between his co-accused and the victim.
He became involved and plead guilty to spitting at a window on Maryhill Road on August 11, last year.
He also attempted to wipe saliva on the victim and he repeatedly shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence and sectarian remarks.
His defence agent said Gunn was embarrassed of the incident and had taken “a significant amount of alcohol”.
He was fined £200.
