THREE men have been arrested after they allegedly drove a car at two businesses in Airdrie.
The Evening Times previously reported of the alleged ram-raid attempted robbery and robbery on Wednesday, February 15.
The car was firstly allegedly driven at the shutters of the Post Office in Dunbreck Avenue, Caldercruix at around 3.50am on Wednesday.
Police said this attempt was unsuccessful.
The same vehicle was allegedly driven at the shutters of the Petersburn Supermarket in Vansdorf Way at around 4.05am. This attempt was successful and a quantity of alcohol was taken.
Three men aged 19, 31 and 36 years have been arrested and are detained in police custody in connection with two alleged housebreakings.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
