Glasgow funnyman, Kevin Bridges, is no longer on the market after his new relationship status was made official by a celebrity chef on Instagram.

Tom Kitchin outed the couple - after months of rumours - by taking to the social media site this week to reveal his delight at getting the chance to cook for Bridges, 30, and his other half, Kerry Monaghan, 32, at his Edinburgh eatery on Valentine’s Day.

Kitchin said in the post: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I phoned up Tom Kitchin and got a table for 2!'.. Hilarious @kevinbridges Thank you for making my kitchen team @thekitchin 's night!! What a pleasure to cook for you both!”

Monaghan, who is the manager of Epicures of Hyndland - a stylish French/British bistro in Glasgow’s West End - gave her seal of approval to the chef, and replied: “@tom_kitchin best valentines [sic] night ever, hands down. Thank you sir x.”

Chris Turnbull, another chef at the restaurant, took to Twitter to express his delight at the end of the night, and said: “@kevinbridges86 pleasure to have met you and cooked for u big man! #YALDI!!!!”

A friend of Monaghan told The Sun: “They’re both very happy together, a really nice normal, down-to-earth couple. Everyone wishes Kevin and Kerry nothing but all the best.”

The couple reportedly enjoyed an £80-a-head special menu of razor clams, scallop, pig’s head and langoustine, lamb, rhubarb and petit fours, washed down with champagne.
