THE search is on for Glasgow talent to follow in the star-studded footsteps of X Factor winner Matt Terry.

Auditions for the hit ITV show will see compere Dermot O’Leary return to the city next week, with auditions in the St Enoch Shopping Centre from March 3 to 5.

Organisers are on the lookout for anyone over the age of 16 who thinks they have the vocal skills to follow last year’s winner Terry, and previous success stories Louisa Johnson, One Direction, Little Mix and Olly Murs.

All they have to do is register online at https://application.xfactor.tv/ for one of the UK audition cities or turn up on the day, with people being advised to turn up early for the 9am start.

O’Leary had a special message for would-be hopefuls, telling them: “2016 was a fantastic year for The X Factor and now we’re about to kick-start the auditions for 2017.

“We found some incredible talent and some amazing voices last year and now it could be your turn. Just one audition could change your life so if you think you’ve got what it takes then why don’t you apply?”

Anyone good enough to impress the X Factor team with their singing skills will be in with chance of making the step up to auditioning in front of Simon Cowell and co in the summer.

They are also holding mobile auditions across smaller towns and cities, with location details on the X Factor website.
