FANCY dining like a star without having to leave your living room?

Top chef Ryan James, the owner of Glasgow’s Two Fat Ladies restaurant, is offering to cook a banquet for one lucky fine diner plus seven friends in their own home.

Glasgow Restaurant Association is raffling the prize to raise money for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice as part of their Gastronomic Giveaway.

Last month’s winner enjoyed a VIP lunch at Martin Wishart’s Honours Uncovered event at Malmaison.

All money raised will go towards the new £21million hospice which is due to open in Spring 2018.

The total of the £21million Evening Times backed Brick by Brick Appeal now stands at £19.6m.

Mr James said: “Glasgow Restaurant Association has been a supporter of The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice for a number of years and we are raising the money to pay for the kitchen and café area in the new hospice at Bellahouston Park.

“It’s fantastic to see the Brick by Brick Appeal get closer to its target and we’re delighted to have played a part in that.

“The Gastronomic Giveaway is a great way for Glasgow’s foodies to back the hospice, with the chance of winning a unique prize at the same time.”

Heather Manson, director of fundraising at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, said: “We can’t thank Ryan enough for donating this amazing prize.

“GRA are fantastic supporters of the hospice and this monthly online raffle will offer unique prizes to Glasgow’s foodies.”

The new hospice will lower the age limit to include 15-year-old patients and their families.

The facility will also include a hydrotherapy pool, a day and outpatient service, an education area and administration and clinical offices.

The foundations go down in June 2016 and patients are expected to move in spring 2018.
