Residents in Paisley have been left without water after a major pipe burst.
Engineers have been working through the night to repair the 24-inch main in Brediland Road.
A tanker has been brought for additional supplies of water to minimise the impact of the burst on customers.
Those living in the Corsebarr and Bredilands areas of Paisley are experiencing poor pressure, discoloured water and loss of supply.
A Scottish Water spokesman said staff have been working intensively to restore water supplies.
He said: “Our squad have been on the scene since 11pm working to repair what is a complex burst on this major main.
“We apologise to customers affected by this unforeseen problem and wish to reassure them we have been doing everything possible to keep the disruption to a minimum.”
