POLICE have launched a probe after a car was set on fire in Renfrew.
They are now investigating the wilful fireraising which happened between 9am and 9.15am on Thursday, February 9.
Police say at silver Peugeot 307 motor vehicle was set alight. They are, however, unsure how the fire was started.
The vehicle was parked on Moidart Avenue, Renfrew.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police at Johnstone are appealing for any information which may assist with enquiries into this incident, in particular regarding a black Vauxhall Insignia taxi was seen in Moidart Avenue at 8.30am. Police appeal to the driver of this vehicle to come forward with any information.
"Please contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously."
