As snow and wind battered the country the Glaswegian sense of humour shone through.
Posted on Facebook was a picture of a POLAR BEAR walking down a snow covered street with the caption 'The snow in Glasgow today was mental #isitaye.'
Earlier today snow, sleet and high winds from Storm Doris brought travel chaos and school closures to Scotland.
Key routes such as the M80, M90 and A9 were among the worst-hit by the treacherous driving conditions, causing significant traffic delays.
