ANYONE for tennis? Well, more than 1000 - thanks to special roadshows taking part in Glasgow.

Primary pupils aged three to 10 from the east end and the south side are being given the chance to try the sport.

Glasgow Sport Tennis Roadshows offer an introduction to tennis and teaching basic skills in half-hour, high intensity sessions.

Throughout this week, tennis roadshows will be delivered to more than 1000 children thanks to a partnership with the Tennis Foundation.

This is the first time the programme has run in Scotland.

And this weekend sees two free open days for all children in the age range, taking place in Glasgow Club Gorbals on February 25 and 26.

On Saturday, sessions are from10.30 until noon and then 1.30pm until 3pm.

The Sunday session runs from 10.30am until noon.

Youngsters aged between three and 10 can come along to play tennis with option to sign up to Glasgow Sport tennis clubs and lessons if they want to continue to learn.
