A MAJOR police operation has begun after the body of a man was found with stab wounds in Perth.
Door-to-door inquiries were carried out in the city's Muirton area following the discovery of the body in the early hours of this morning.
A home in Dunnock Park is under scrutiny from scene of crime officers, with multiple police vehicles observed at the scene.
So far police have declined to confirm whether or not the incident is being treated as a murder inquiry.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers are in attendance in Dunnock Park, Muirton, Perth, following the sudden death of a male in the early hours of this morning.
“Officers are treating the death as unexplained and are carrying out inquiries.”
