A FESTIVAL celebrating gin is set to return to Glasgow this summer after successfully arriving in the city last year.

Visitors can check out a range of quality new gins now distilled across the country as well as craft products and food.

The Juniper festival was launched in Edinburgh four years ago and proved to be a hit when the two-day event came to Glasgow in 2016.

Both Edinburgh and Glasgow will be running the event to coincide with World Gin Day on June 10.

Like last year's event, there will be gins represented from all over the UK, including Glasgow, so there will be a huge range for visitors to sample and explore.

Guests can also get involved in masterclasses with a number of celebrated brands.

The event description reads: "Running up to the festivals we will be revealing the line up of exhibiting gin and tonic companies, and the array of talks and experiences to enjoy.

"The Juniper Festivals are a place to come and meet the people behind the gins and to enjoy tasters of each of the brands; we always strive to curate the line up of exhibitors to showcase the best of local and international products, and the vast array of styles available.

"You'll be well looked after, with awesome street food available, a bottle shop for you to pick up your favourites from, and of course, many of the exhibitors offering a chance to buy mixed drinks and cocktails."

The event is being held over two days in Glasgow from June 9 to 10 from 5pm to 10pm at the SWG3 venue in Eastvale Place. Tickets are on sale priced from £21.50 and can be purchased here.
