Glasgow comedy fans are being given the chance to sit down and have a good old natter with the cast of one of the biggest sitcoms around in one of the city’s most famous pubs.

Brendan O’Carroll and cast members from BBC’s Mrs. Brown’s Boys are heading to Òran Mór next month for a special ‘in conversation’ event.

In association with BAFTA Scotland, the cast will be hitting the west end fresh from a sell-out tour of Australia and New Zealand, a live episode with BBC, two Christmas Specials, and the launch of a new Saturday night light entertainment show.

Leaving his stage persona Agnes Brown behind, Mr O’Carroll will take some time out of his immense UK tour to talk through the making of the programme, the importance of his family’s involvement, and the ingredients that have made Mrs. Brown’s Boys such an international success.

Recently voted as the Best British Sitcom of the 21st century by the Radio Times, Mrs. Brown’s Boys has received a horde of other highly-acclaimed awards.

As well as this, Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie - the cast’s first full length motion picture - was the third highest-grossing British film of 2014, and the highest-grossing Irish film of all time.

“Join the cast for an entertaining evening filled with behind-the-scenes anecdotes and plenty of laughs,” says the event’s official site.

The event is the latest in a series from BAFTA Scotland which is renowned for bringing some of the biggest names in both the TV and film industries to Scotland to help nurture emerging and established talent through events and initiatives like this one.

‘In Conversation with Brendan O’Carroll and key cast from Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ will be taking place at Òran Mór on Sunday April 2 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £15. More more information, or to purchase, click here.
