Sir Rod Stewart is facing backlash today after he appeared to mimic an ISIS beheading while on holiday with his wife.

The crooner could be seen in a bizarre clip posted online by wife Penny Lancaster.

The 72-year-old can be seen asking a friend to come over before pushing him to his knees and carrying out a mimicked execution as seen on multiple propaganda films distributed by terror cell ISIS.

The scenes look similar to those published by ISIS' executioner-in-chief Jihadi John.

His wife Penny can be seen in the clip rolling in the sand.

He is currently on a world tour and looked to be accompanied by friends during his desert trip.

The Celtic-mad rocker also had a 'Celtic' henna tattoo written on his arm which he proudly displayed on social media.

His wife Penny, to whom he has been married for 10 years, took the video down from Instagram.
