Heartbroken friends have paid tribute online to a 22-year-old amateur footballer who was found dead in Alloa.

Conor Brown, described as "the brawest looking goalkeeper you’ll ever see", was found in woodland on Monday morning. It's understood he took his own life.

Devastated friends set up a fundraising page where they wanted to raise £3,000 to help out his family. However, so far more than £13,000 has been collected on GoFundMe.com

The former Claremont FC player's sudden death has stunned everyone who knew him.

Glasgow Times:

Sam Gray posted: "The amount raised speaks volumes about Conor. Love you forever. Our huge group will never be the same. Such a beautiful soul. So much love Miss u always x"

Ryan Walker wrote: "Can mind the days playing against Conor when he was the holy goalie for Claremont, used to fly into tackles together haha!

"A great guy, with a big heart! sleep tight mate x."

While Daryll Mcdougall added: "You think you have it bad, then you hear what other people have woken up to this morning.

"Makes you realise no matter what you are going through, don’t take life for granted. Such a sad
day. Thoughts are with the
Brown family."
