Hollywood star Kiefer Sutherland will be performing live at O2 ABC following high demand for his Glasgow show.

Originally the actor, best known for his turn as 24's Jack Bauer, was due to play at west end venue SWG3 on Tuesday, June 27.

But the appetite for tickets for the only Scottish live date on his Euuropean tour has seen the gig move to the Sauchiehall Street nightclub.

The singer will be performing music from his country debut album Down In A Hole, which was released last year.

Speaking to Rolling Stone prior to his US tour in 2016, Sutherland said: “The nice thing about being able to play these songs live is you can take a minute and tell the stories: 'Look, I was here in 1994, and this is what was happening...it's created a level of intimacy. It's an experience I've been enjoying that I couldn't even describe."

The album’s 11 songs form, according to Sutherland: "The closest thing I’ve ever had to a journal or diary. All of these songs are pulled from my own personal experiences.

"There is something very satisfying about being able to look back on my own life, good times and bad, and express those sentiments in music.

"As much as I have enjoyed the writing and recording process, I am experiencing great joy now being able to play these songs to a live audience, which was something I hadn’t counted on”.
