A new video has emerged showing a Rangers fan arguing with two Celtic supporters just moments before he got battered on a train.

The new footage, which was posted on Facebook, shows the Gers supporter rowing with a couple across the aisle of a ScotRail service near Anniesland station just after the Old Firm match.

The victim keeps asking them: "Are you British or Irish?"

The woman retorts: "You’re asking us why we are in the country because we are Celtic fans?"

The woman replies: "We're both Scottish so pipe down."

Glasgow Times:

Yesterday footage emerged showing the same Rangers supporter being attacked on the Glasgow train.

The clip, posted by a user to YouTube, shows a man punching the fan and throwing him against the window.

Bystanders intervened during the attack to split the pair up.

British Transport Police have urged witnesses on the train, or those who filmed the two videos, to come forward.

Inspector Lynda Lang said: "I am aware that this assault may have been recorded by a passenger and uploaded to YouTube.

"I would desperately urge the person who recorded this to contact us as soon as possible. You are not in trouble and you could help us investigate what happened.

"The video clearly shows a man being violently assaulted by another passenger on this service."

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40.
