CELTIC winger Patrick Roberts has set his sights on remaining unbeaten for the rest of the season, something he says would eclipse anything he has achieved in his career so far.

The Hoops could wrap up a sixth consecutive Premiership title this weekend if they beat Dundee on Sunday and Aberdeen lose to Hearts a day earlier.

Brendan Rodgers' side were held to a 1-1 draw by Rangers at Celtic Park last weekend, one of only two ties to blemish an otherwise perfect record in the last 28 league games.

And the on-loan Manchester City youngster believes maintaining their unbeaten run over the next ten games would be the crowning moment of his career so far.

“It’s fantastic to be here now and being unbeaten would be an immense achievement," Roberts told the Celtic View.

“There are still a few games left but if we get there it’ll be the one of the most remarkable things I’ve done. So we need to stay confident and focused for the rest of the season."

Roberts' temporary deal in Glasgow expires at the end of the campaign and the 20-year-old says he will look back fondly on his time at Parkhead no matter what the future holds.

The Englishman has struggled with injury problems lately and has faced fierce competition for his place from James Forrest this season, but he insists he is happy and enjoying the winning run.

“My priority is to get as much game-time as possible,” he said.

“Obviously it’s a big squad and everyone wants to play. It’s hard because it’s a team sport and when things are going so well you’re buzzing for everyone. Our aim is just to achieve what we started out to do at the beginning of the season.

“The atmosphere right now is amazing, everyone is chilled out and when we win at the weekend it makes the week even better and we can then go into the next game even more confident. It’s brilliant and everyone’s loving it, especially with the fans.

“I’ve loved every minute of my time here, and nobody knows what will happen in the future. But I can safely at the end of the season if everything goes to plan I can look back and say it was one of the best times in my career. I loved playing out on that pitch and we’ve still got a few games left.”
