SCOTLAND coach Vern Cotter will take charge of the Barbarians for this summer's games against Ulster and England, it has been announced.
The New Zealander's spell in charge of the Scots will come to an end on Saturday when his side take on Italy at Murrayfield in their final Six Nations fixture.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that Cotter will coach the famous touring side for games against England at Twickenham on 28 May and Ulster at Kingspan on 1 June.
Cotter, who will take over as coach of Montpellier after leaving Scotland, was delighted to be given the chance to lead the Baabaas.
"It will be a tremendous honour for me to guide the Barbarians into this series," he said.
"The history of the team speaks for itself and I'm sure we'll have another two excellent games in store both in London and Belfast.
"We have already started putting together a world-class selection of players for the tour that will no doubt attract huge crowds for both games.
"As the club season comes towards its conclusion we will begin to release the names of those involved."
