So last week I was off for a few days, not on a holiday but in hospital with a kidney stone -  which by the way if you've ever had, you'll know it’s blooming painful!! Thankfully we are lucky to have the NHS and the staff were amazing, I am now booked in for next week to get this thing out, which means back into hospital but on the plus side the soup is amazing.

Whilst I was in hospital Paul and I kept in touch via text and he found another way to contact me - through hospital radio! He put in a special request for them to mention me - you're maybe thinking ‘aw very sweet,’ but the request suggested I had an 'embarrassing infection'...

I'm still going strong with my diet and I've lost almost 2 stone. I’ve now started training with a PT Scott Craig (who's on Instagram as @dc_fitness) and he is teaching me all about nutrition and helping me get lean and fit. I’m loving the sessions & I'm feeling better already.  Although must admit, after session one, the next day even walking up some stairs was quite a struggle. It does get easier though & hopefully by the time summer is here I'll be in some nice denim shorts & vest tops for all the BBQs I plan on having in my new house -  that's if we get sunshine.

There have been some very exciting things happening over at Heart Scotland this week. Paul and I gave away a holiday to Jamaica at the start of this week with our friends at Barrhead Travel! We met all the finalists from our competition and they each had to pick a suitcase - one was the winning suitcase and well done to Maxine from Craigend who won the holiday to Sandals Ochi Resort in Jamaica. Her partner Eddie was working away at the time so when she called him he was in just as much shock! Well done to them both, I'm so jealous, it looks like such an amazing place, can’t wait for the postcard :-)

I was hosting at the Scottish Cycling Running and Outdoor Pursuits show at the SEC at the weekend and I got to channel my inner Claire from steps by wearing one of these mics. It was so good to meet lots of new people at the show and I'll be hosting at the Golf Show next weekend so if you're going come and say hi.

Glasgow Times:

Blair Drummond Safari Park is opening up again this weekend. Hooray, this will keep the kids busy for the next few months.  Paul is going to be there, along with our Heart Angels who will be giving out goodies. Keep an eye out for the guys if you’re down this weekend. Every afternoon on Heart we’ll also be giving away a family season pass. We are playing 'human safari' where I try my best to do an impression of an animal and you have to guess what it is - there's been some dodgy attempts this week, my sea lion impression was mistaken for a monkey, so good luck tomorrow as it's your last chance to win from 4pm.
