HIBERNIAN striker Jason Cummings has been named player of the month for February in the Championship after scoring in all three of his side's league games.

The 21-year-old found the net in matches against Ayr United, Raith Rovers and Dunfermline Athletic to help ensure the Easter Road club remain at the summit of the table.

Cummings is the top scorer in the second tier so far this term with 16 strikes, four more than nearest challengers Nicky Clark of Dunfermline and Queen of the South's Stephen Dobbie.

It is the second time this season that the Hibs forward has collected the accolade, having been awarded the gong back in August as well.

Hibs currently hold a six-point lead at the top of the Championship with a game in hand over second-placed Falkirk, and face Dumbarton in Edinburgh on Saturday.
