Glasgow foodies demanded more and our wishes have been answered.

The Big Feed is returning to Govan this weekend for a two-day culinary spectacular with some of the finest street food Scottish traders have to offer.

The Big Feed will again be setting up shop in an industrial venue run by Glasgow the Caring City.

The charity supports children and young people in crisis both at home and overseas by providing them with skills to help them gain employment.

Foodies flocked to the previous event held at the start of the month.

Traders already signed up include Chompsky, Street Food Putter Club, Charlie Mills Coffee, ShrimpWreck, Nomad Pizza and Freddy and Hicks, while Big Feed newcomers Firedog, The Buffalo Truck, Haggisman, Bruadair, Julie’s Street Kitchen, The Travelling Tea Room and Thorntonhall Farmhouse Ice Cream will make their debut appearance.

On the day, visitors will be able to chose from a variety of foods inclusing authentic Asian and Mexican inspired cuisine, fresh Scottish seafood, burgers, wood fired pizzas and vegan options.

Charlie from Charlie Mills Coffee, one of the organisers behind Big Feed, said: “Following the success of the first event, we’re excited to be bringing Big Feed back this weekend and making it even bigger and better. Street food is really gathering momentum in the UK and it’s fantastic to have joined forces with other vendors to establish Big Feed at the forefront of the scene in Glasgow. Govan is the ideal location and we’re proud to be able to bring this exciting new experience again, while supporting a very worthwhile charity at the same time.”

The event will run from 12noon until 10pm on Saturday, 25th March, and from 12noon until 7pm on Sunday 26th March 2017.

There is a £1 entry fee on the door and free entry for kids under 10 years old.

Free parking is also available.
