A MAN is set to be sentenced after he assaulted his cousin who owed him money.

Malcolm Hill appeared in front of Sheriff McCrory at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he admitted three charges which resulted from his cousin not paying the money back he owed him.

The court heard the 33-year-old went to his cousin’s house at 9.25 in the morning and started banging on his door.

At this point Hill said: “I’m going to punch your c*** in.”

Hill then picked up a glass jar and threw it across the living room where it hit a window and caused it to smash.

Police attended shortly after.

Hill’s solicitor said he had grown impatient of his cousin owing him the money back.

Hill admitted that on October 11 2016 at Crossloan Terrace that he sent a voicemail to his cousin that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character by shouting, swearing and uttering threats.

He also admitted that on the same date at the same place he acted in a threatening or abusive manner, by banging a door, shouting swearing, uttering threats and throwing a glass jar at a window, causing it to smash.

On the same date at the same place he further admitted assaulting his cousin by seizing him by the body and throwing him around.

His sentence was deferred for a good behaviour report.
