COPS probing a stabbing in Glasgow city centre in the middle of the day have urged witnesses to come forward.

The 39-year-old victim was attacked on Monday, March 20 at around 4pm.

Police say he was walking through St Vincent Terrace onto William Street, when he was approached by a man who seriously assaulted him.

The suspect then ran off in the direction of Elderslie Street, Glasgow.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for stab wounds then later released.

Detective Constable Jacqueline MacIntyre, from Drumchapel Police Office, said: “This is a busy area and I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area to come forward and contact Drumchapel Police Office through 101.
