GLASGOW'S top cop has praised people in the city for their response to officers following the Westminster terror attack.
Chief Superintendent Brian McInulty thanked the public on the social media website Twitter.
He said: "Foot patrol in city today and was truly humbled by public response.
"So lucky to have such supportive communities! #WeStandTogether."
Three people were killed and 40 were injured when the knife-wielding attacker Khalid Masood ploughed a car through pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, before storming the Parliamentary estate. He was shot dead.
On Wednesday afternoon, after driving a 4x4 vehicle into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, he managed to break through the cordon outside the House of Commons and stab to death PC Keith Palmer
