CELTIC and Ivory Coast midfielder Kouassi Eboue was caught up in ugly scenes on Monday night as his country's friendly with Senegal was forced to be abandoned after a group of fans invaded the pitch.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Hoops from Krasnodar in January, was an unused substitute when the match in Paris was called to a halt as supporters ran onto the field to confront players.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane had put Senegal in front with a second-half penalty before Cyriac Gohi Bi of Fulham equalised two minutes later.

But with 88 minutes played the game was abandoned due to crowd trouble as a number of fans jumped over advertising hoardings and onto the pitch, with Senegal defender Lamine Gassama even on the receiving end of a rugby tackle from one pitch invader.

French referee Tony Chapron officially called off the game on the 88th minute with the scores level, as players were ushered down the tunnel at the Stade Charlety.
